Delhi High Court restrains Career Launcher rival from using its trademark

The Delhi High Court has  recently restrained a competing coaching institute from using the Career Launcher name or its CL trademark after Career Launcher filed a trademark infringement suit against this competitor. The renowned coaching institute was able to get an ex-parte order from the Delhi High Court. The Bench which was headed by Justice G S Sastani was convinced that it was an apt case for granting ex-parte ad-interim injunction after examining all the evidences.

It has been alleged by the plaintiffs that the defendants have been using the name CL Classes which is apparently the name of one of the websites of Career Launcher  to mislead the public . Career Launcher was incorporated in the year 1996 and since then has been using its name with respect to its coaching classes. The Delhi High Court has restrained the defendants, Byjus Classes  who have been using the CL trademark. The next hearing related to this matter is listed on December 19th, 2016.

The ‘Amul Girl’ turns 50 years old

The ‘Utterly Butterly Delicious’ girl, which is synonymous with Amul butter has recently turned five decades old.  The same girl with her trademark red polka dotted dress  was first seen on hoardings 50 years back  and the portrait has only gone strong with time. It is a great example where the owner  has stuck with a brand for so long , especially during this era where brands and taglines keeps on changing so frequently.

The creative head and owner of the brand, Rahul da Cunha is of the opinion that the credit goes to the client, Amul butter  who has backed them throughout these years and never asked for a change.

Apart from the ceaseless praise and accolades the brand has also been involved in various controversies let it be with the BCCI or Shiv Sena. However, with her wit and humour, ‘she’ has emerged to be one of the most loved brands in today’s era  and it seems like that it is only going to bloom in the times to come.
