The Competition Commission of India, the country’s antitrust watchdog, recently passed a cease and desist order and imposed heavy penalties on Apollo Tyres, MRF, CEAT, JK Tyres, Birla Tyres and Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association for cartelization.
