The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks (“CGPDTM”) issued a public notice on the 25th July, 2024 calling for a meeting of stakeholders with respect to the statement of working of patents.
Background
The Office of CGPDTM had received numerous communications from stakeholders regarding the recently notified Patents Amendment Rules, 2024. These communications raised the need for a discussion on the requirement for the “statement regarding the working of the patented invention on a commercial scale in India,” as stipulated through the filing of Form-27.
Meeting Details
In response to these communications, a public meeting has been scheduled to facilitate a comprehensive discussion on this matter. The meeting will be held virtually, allowing stakeholders from various locations to participate.

Purpose of the Meeting
